Foods for GOOD Skin

So if your like me your always trying to find the right skin regime and eat healthy because you believe there must be a secret formula to perfect skin besides the doctors office. Well I have done a bit more research an have found some new tips conferring your diet to possibly improve your skin. The following are 8 founds that are proven to benefit your skin. Here they are!

Eating guava, pineapple, papaya, kiwi, and other tropical fruits that contain vitamin C will help defend your skin against damaging free radicals. Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that is naturally found in the skin, so eating tropical fruits and other vitamin C–rich foods can replenish your skin's stores. Vitamin C also helps your body produce collagen, a protein that helps keep your skin firm and elastic.

This veggie is high in antioxidants, including vitamins C and E. The vitamin C in broccoli aids in collagen production and keeps your skin healthy and supple, while vitamin E protects your skin cell membranes and guards against UV radiation damage.

The vitamin E in almonds can help nourish your skin and protect it from the sun's damaging UV rays. Just be sure to eat them in moderation, since almonds and other nuts are calorie–dense.

whole wheat bread, healthy skin, Food cures,
Whole Wheat Pastas and Breads
Another skin–friendly antioxidant is the mineral selenium, which is found in whole wheat pastas and breads. Selenium helps protect your skin against environmental damage and promotes elasticity and general skin health. High–dose selenium supplements have been linked to health problems, so it's always best to get your selenium from delicious food sources

carrots  keep your skin healthy and vibrant. Carrots are high in beta carotene, an antioxidant that is converted to vitamin A inside the body. It helps repair skin tissue and protects against the sun's harsh rays. Enjoy carrots raw in salads or with a low–calorie dip, or try roasting them to develop a rich, sweet flavor. (Bonus! Cooked carrots deliver even more skin–friendly beta carotene than raw ones.)
Pumpkin seeds are a skin superfood because they're so high in zinc. Zinc protects your cell membranes, helps maintain collagen, and promotes skin renewal

water is crucial when it comes to skin health because it flushes toxins out of your body, delivers nutrients to your cells, and keeps your organs functioning. It also helps keep your cells plump and full, which makes your skin look firmer and clearer.

fish, healthy skin, Food cures,
Salmon, herring, mackerel, sardines, anchovies, and rainbow trout all contain omega–3 fats, which help fortify skin cell membranes, protect against sun damage, and may also reduce the risk of certain forms of skin cancer. These healthy fats allow water and nutrients into the skin while keeping toxins out, and may also fight inflammation in the skin.

How to Make your LIPS Appear Plumper!

Your animation

So first I must give myself credit for the gif above since it was created by yours truly! I was writing a post on how to apply ones lip colour in order for your lips to make a statement and possibly even look larger. I take myself as an expert on this since I suffer from a small lip dilemma and enjoy wearing lipstick. When i decided to make a gif to make it clear. So I will delay no more....

1- Apply lip liner that is the same size as your lipstick or apply a nude lip liner contouring the outside of your lips. This is important since lipstick bleeds out through fine lines and wrinkles and trust me even if your 13 it will bleed eventually; so do it !!

2- Apply the first coat of your lipstick and then take a tissue and lightly close your lips on it. (as light as if you were kissing some one) It is normal for it to take about 50% off. This step is to ensure it lasts longer.

2x-  Apply a second coat of lip stick (same colour).

3-  Apply a darker tone of the same colour to the inside a your lips in a dabbing motion. Try not to blend / rub your lips together to much since you are not trying to combine these two tones to your overall lip.

4-  Apply a highlight to the middle section of lips. Again do not blend to much.

Hope you find this helpful and please holla if you have any inquiries.

Manicure TIPS

Want to make your at-home-manicure last longer? Then instead of rushing apply two thin coats of colour polish. This is better than 1 thick coat. Thick polish can bubble, takes longer to dry and chips faster. Therefore making that previous cheat to save time actually a sentence of forever having to repaint your nails.

How-To to Fix DEAD ENDS (Alberto VO5 Hot Protein)

Besides a minor dose of writers block that had recently invading my brain; I also have been busy trying out some new / old product to recommend to y'all. The product of this post is an oldie, that up until today when I  examend my lifeless hair today I had completly forgotten its magical ways.

Alberto VO5 is usually a cheap line that never delivers but when it comes to their mousse (which I will review at a later time) and Hot Protein  Moisturizing Intensive Creme Treatment they more than deliver, they cure your s%*Ty hair.

I figure a little background of my hairs history is needed to describe how much this product helps. I have had almost every hair colour and for the past two years I have been bleaching the F%*& out of my hair. But then a year ago I started using VO5's Hot Protein after I shampooed my hair and toweled dried it. Then I placed the packed in boiling or really hot tap water for a minute and followed this step by putting it evenly in my crappy hair.Make sure to put it root to tip or for me I focus on the areas that need the most moisturizing (my tips). A good idea is to leave it in your hair for a couple hours tied up or simply however much spare time you have then thoroughly rinse and air dry. No point in blow drying to  ruin your hair further!

The result may vary but for me I have said goodbye to my dead ends and split ends by using Hot Protein.

Beauty Tip

Be daring this week! Find a way to work in red lips at the office. Lipsticks with blue undertones make teeth look whiter. Too bold? Try a stain instead. It’ll give you the same drama without being too aggressive and will last twice as long.

Make Your Makeup last (Lise Watier Magnifix- makeup fixative with white tea)

First things first, before you shy away from this product or think its sounds too promising...Actually I take that back, the name is really way to promising.

Anyways, this product from Lise Watier, a Montreal based company- my home town- is incredible for use after all makeup has been applied. Its called Lise Watier Magnifix- makeup fixative with white tea and retails for $21. Basically, after you have applied your make up/ mask for the day, just spray 15 cm away from your  face and make sure you get all your face. Those with larger faces, like mine, need sometimes up to three sprays. Let it sit for a minute or two and after maybe half hour, the fixative will make so your powder and cream set together and so they do not leave a dry look or feeling.

The great part about this product is that it is just a fancy name for a simple product. IT'S A SETTING MIST!!!

Hope this SOLD you!
