Setting Powder ( Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder )

Well if you have been reading my blog you may have realized that this is my second blog post about a setting product. The reason why i have chosen to tell about another is because I felt as though I lied with my last post since my makeup does not stay all day unless I use both and by both I mean Lise Watier Magnifix and Vichy Dermablend Setting Powder (14.30 pounds). I use both products because like most of you I am human and I touch my face through out the day.

The way in which I use this product is after I have applied all my makeup and coccerctive foundation I take a generous amout and put in with a pad given on the place I most touch on my face then after two minutes I blend it in with a Japonesque Stippling Bush(36 $) as shown below. This type of brush is useful since the black bristles are firmer than those of the white which helps blends both liquid and powder correctives. After this step I apply the Lise Watier Magnifix to set my mask for the day!

OTHER Nail Ideas

1. Paint your nails
2.dip your finger into alcohol (preferably vodka).
3. Press a strip of news paper big enough to cover the nail on the alcohol soaked nail.
4.pull of slowly and be impressed…
5. Paint a top coat.

Matte Finish Nails ( Butter LONDON Matte Finish )

If you're looking for that next nail trend, well here it is....and its easy! No, its not applying tiny crystals or painting intricate images on your nails. Butter LONDON has Matte Finish; all you must do is finish your nails by applying a top coat of Butter London Matte Finish. This can be done over any colour. I love that fact that it basically doubles my nail polish collection since every colour now appears differently. Another great idea with this nail lacquer is if you desire a no nail polish look but your nails are not in the best of shape. Paint a pale pink or Butter LONDON nail foundation then apply the Matte Finish and nails appear as though they are naturally beautiful and well kept. FOOL EVERYONE !!!

Sleeping Beauty ( James Read Sleep Mask Tan)

Upon arriving to London, I was always quite fond of my ghostly appearance until I realized that in England I could turn even paler than thought possible! I mean I was not porcelain anymore, I had turned transparent! Then one day I decided to try what all Jersey/ Northerners enjoy, James Read Tanning products. I must also add James himself did a little coaxing himself by giving me the free products!

I started using the James Read Sleep Mask Tan, for 25 pounds, at night by applying it after my face had been washed / exfoliated, as he had recommended. When I woke up, my face had a gentle and lively glow. Not to mention I looked a hell of a lot healthier. The great thing is it is not too dramatic of a change to the point where your face does not match your neck which is always a plus!!!

I must add though, it is not good to use on skin prone to breakout/during a breakout. Also you must use a generous amount otherwise it turns out quite patchy. 

To conclude this recommendation, it should be a product of choice for people looking to glow a little more each day!

A fixative for dry ends (Tigi Catwalk Sleek Mystique, Fast Fixx Style Prep)

This a a very versatile product. In general, it hydrates your hair. This is helpful for styling purposes such as before blow drying or straightening. Fast Fixx Style Prep by TIGI retails for around 8 pounds but it is worth it. Unlike most leave in conditioners, it does not leave a thick feeling on hair or sticky finish. After it has dried, hair feels smooth and hydrated. 

I use it after washing my hair on clean hair when my hair has dried and I comb through (not brush, this is bad for wet hair since it stretches and weakens hair). Make sure to apply to ends and always on average 15cm away from hair.

You can also use this fab product on damp hair after washing it and just let it dry or style it.

Perfect Base for EYE Makeup (Laura Mercier Eye Canvas)

I have been using the Laura Mercier Eye Canvas in EC-1 (22.50 pounds) for over two months now and i always thought is was okay until recently people at my work (PURPLE PR) have been asking how I get my eye shadow to stay on so long. Also they stated that my cat eye look more exagerated because I used a light shade of EC so it made it POP. Basically what I am trying to say if if you need a base for you eye makeup this is top notch. It is a mousse/ cream and you apply before eye makeup or alone to make your eye single tone to brighten it.

First things first, before you shy away from this product or think its sounds too promising...Actually I take that back, the name is really way to promising.

Anyways, this product from Lise Watier, a Montreal based company- my home town- is incredible for use after all makeup has been applied. Its called Lise Watier Magnifix- makeup fixative with white tea and retails for $21. Basically, after you have applied your make up/ mask for the day, just spray 15 cm away from your  face and make sure you get all your face. Those with larger faces, like mine, need sometimes up to three sprays. Let it sit for a minute or two and after maybe half hour, the fixative will make so your powder and cream set together and so they do not leave a dry look or feeling.

The great part about this product is that it is just a fancy name for a simple product. IT'S A SETTING MIST!!!

Hairspray can be so tricky and messy dans mon opinion. Did I mention a speak un petit peu du francais! This is very fitting because I here to CELLE you on L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray. It sells for 3.79 pounds. So tres affordable!

Well what makes this hairspray so good, is the fact that it goes on misty so that it doesn't clump your hair or make it heavy. Instead it goes on ultra fine so that if you still want to brush your hair after setting it you can. PLUS, if you don't like your chosen style, it won't freeze it. So you're still able, if you decide to run a brush/ comb through your hair a couple times.
